VISION’S Senior Minister, Rev. Patti Paris will be teaching an eight week class on “The Principles of Financial Freedom” beginning on January 10 at 7pm. This course is designed to develop new attitudes about money and to create a spiritual practice that will duplicate the nature of Spirit in the student’s financial affairs. Rev. Patti will help her students to develop a greater awareness of their current attitudes and beliefs about money and replace them with the Principles of Financial Freedom which will create a life of abundance and peace. Grand Opening Spiritual Learning Center 1/14

Tessa Cason, Director of Soft Winds Spiritual Learning Center, is inviting people of all ages to the Grand Opening on January 14, 2012 from 10am–2pm. Terry McBride Special Guest at VISION 1/15

Terry McBride is the author of the bestselling book, The Hell I Can’t. In his book, Terry chronicles his amazing and inspiring personal story of creating perfect health and wholeness using the powers of positive thought and focused consciousness. Global Alliance for Transformational Entertainment (GATE) Conference in LA 2/4

This 2 part event—GATE StoryCon and GATE 2—will be a major opportunity for networking between media professionals who use the power of story to create personal, social and global transformation. Emei Qigong Healing Seminar Jan & Feb

The major objective of this seminar is to empower participants to access their own healing abilities as well as use the universe’s energy to help others heal. “The Healing Arts of Emei Qigong” teaches various methods for self-healing and for helping others heal. It also introduces other essential concepts of Emei Qigong.This Qigong healing training is open to all. No experience is required. It is beneficial to everyone, regardless of health conditions. Seaside Launches Season for Nonviolence 2/1

Seaside Center for Spiritual Living in Encinitas will host a free special event, “Celebrating Peace” for the community on Feb. 1 from 7pm to 9pm to launch The 15th Annual Season for Nonviolence (www.agnt.org/node/10) inspired by the 50th and 30th memorial anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and honoring their vision for an empowered, nonviolent world. The Season officially begins on Jan. 30, and it continues through April 4, as a 64-day educational, media, and grassroots campaign dedicated to demonstrating that nonviolence is a powerful way to heal, transform, and empower lives and communities.

The “Celebrating Peace” event at Seaside Center will include a Peace Proclamation from Encinitas Mayor Jerome Stocks and presentations from Peggy Callahan; cofounder of Free the Slaves (www.freetheslaves.net), Elza Maalouf; Arab-America Futurist, CEO Center for Human Emergence-Mideast (www.integralinsights.net/aboutElza.htm), and Rev. Christian Sorensen from Seaside Center.

A Peace Award is also being presented to Dr. Barbara Fields; Executive Director, The Association for Global New Thought; Cofounder (with Arun GandhI) and Project Director – The Gandhi King Chavez Season for Nonviolence 1998-present. Inspirational music will be provided by local musical artists and there will be drumming facilitated by musical therapist, author Christine Stevens. To capture the evening’s events as they unfold, artist Ben Swatez will be creating a live emerging painting.
